From April 2024 – February 2025 we delivered our Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) project, commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The programme involved delivering practical nutrition workshops to those newly diagnosed with T2D. Participants watched a live cooking demonstration, sampled the food and had the opportunity to discuss practical cooking tips and advice with a Public Health Nutritionist.
They received an ingredients bag to prepare the meal at home and were provided with resources around a balanced diet as well as practical tips for supporting sustainable healthy lifestyle changes. The sessions were interactive and involved engaging activities that focused on dispelling nutrition myths surrounding diabetes, understanding food labels, and putting nutrition knowledge into practice both in the kitchen and out of the home.
This project achieved many positive outcomes- click the link below to have a look at our Evaluation Report.
