We ask all persons, organisations, and groups to apply for permission to use the intellectual property of Nutrition Scotland. Nutrition Scotland’s intellectual property includes, but is not limited to:
- Nutrition Scotland Logo
- Factsheets, recipes, videos, written content or publications created by Nutrition Scotland.
All requests for permission to use materials should be submitted to suzanne@nutritionscotland.org.
When is permission required?
You need to apply for permission if you wish to reproduce, or include Nutrition Scotland’s intellectual property in any printed or online/electronic material you produce and/or if you are benefiting financially.
Nutrition Scotland’s Intellectual Property includes:
- Factsheets, videos, written content or publications created by Nutrition Scotland
Please note that a fee structure is in place for the use of property and that permission is granted for one edition of a piece of work.

Exceptions
There are some circumstances where you do not need to apply for permission, such as:
- Using our intellectual property in the media, blog or newsletter.
- Displaying physical versions of our intellectual property (such as a poster).
- Photocopying up to 50 copies of our intellectual property for educational purposes only and you are not benefiting financially (such as photocopying 30 fact sheets for a classroom activity).
If you fit the above criteria, please acknowledge Nutrition Scotland as the original author of the material you are using and include our website nutritionscotland.org.
All other individuals, publishers and organisations must apply for permission to use Nutrition Scotland’s Intellectual Property (please allow up to 10 working days for processing).
