With funding from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), we designed and delivered a 6-week Beginner’s Online Cooking Skills Programme with the aim of developing participants’ cooking skills, increasing their confidence to cook meals from scratch and supporting them to make healthier choices.
The programme involved a weekly live online cook-along, demonstrating how to make a simple, healthy, and affordable meal from scratch.
Participants received digital vouchers to put towards the cost of ingredients and cooking equipment, which helped with food provision during the cost-of-living crisis.
They were further supported with educational resources around nutrition, meal planning, cooking on a budget and reducing food waste. The programme ran from May 2022 – May 2023 and reached 171 people. Read more in our outcome report below.
